Windows  -   Artist Statement

Windows is a progression from work started on the notion of landscape and cultural history.  The landscape provides an insight into the lives of peoples long gone and also into the evolved peoples of that same land.

In the paintings, geometrics are used in a loose fashion to confirm the patterns used historically in more functional fields such as textiles, jewellery and architecture.
