'Humans comes and go but the landscape remains' (universal quote)
This paintings seek through colour and form to explore the mythology of landscape lore.
The earths landscape is a vessel, a place to be, and there is no choice but to be. This is the space and place that is home. The good, bad and ugly all occur here and will continue to do so. Made from the land, life will return to it and begin again anew with seemingly new narratives, personal histories and journeys. The truth of it all recorded faithfully within the landscape that hosted each being for a time and which will continue to do so until the vessel itself becomes part of the universal history of the past.
Each painting has manifested an abstracted image of a spatial setting. The titles give some clue to the original idea and thoughts behind the piece however the artist wants the viewer to associate their own understanding and sensibilities with the work, take what they will from the aesthetics and make it their own.
