This new series 'Consequential Anomaly' is a collection of paintings and sketches about the places and spaces we enjoy, explore and also live in, and the often unknown impact of our actions on those environments.

There is a constant struggle and delicate balance between exploitation and conservation of our resources. We understand stuff like littering and recycling maybe but we don't really see the bigger picture or the long term effects because of our busy daily routines, leading us to take the easier path. Understanding the impact of our actions sometimes requires access to education, news, popular culture, and art to highlight what we need to do to reduce it.

Musical artists like Linkin Park have highlighted the repercussions of human behaviour on ourselves and the planet through their music, helping to raise awareness about what’s at stake. As one of my favourite bands, I feel a special connection to their message. Consequently, I have incorporated lyrics from their Albums and songs like "Burning In The Skies" as titles for my paintings, providing a voice to the visual elements.
'I Poured It Into An Ocean Of Debris', acrylic, gesso and pencil on sketchpaper, 21x15cm
This series is a continuation of my "Reflection" series, which delves into social issues and the understanding of topics such as law, climate change, and self-awareness. These paintings and sketches on various surfaces, utilize mediums including oil, acrylic, gesso, watercolour and collage.
Check back for more paintings as I add to the collection.
