Finished Work
I finished two more paintings to add to the collection of 'Elements Colour' paintings I did a while back. My theme although primarily colour were doorways. The idea of entering a space possibly unexplored is intriguing. Also inspired by travels this year and last to more Mediterranean climates.'Elements Aqua + Orange, Acrylic Painting,80x100cm

Exhibitions
Daphne Francis Gallery based at the Custard Factory in Birmingham hosted the 'Art Digbeth' Exhibition at The Custard Factory. It was a great opportunity to show some of my work alongside some other great artists.
Paul Newman
As part of the exhibition event there was an artist talk by artist Paul Newman spoke about his work.
Elena Thomas
And a performance by 'The Sitting Room' with vocalist Elena Thomas, also one of the artists in the show.
Open Studios
As well as the 'Art Digbeth' exhibition and event, the gallery organised an open studio event and showcased artist Alexi K's work. It was a bit of a retrospective, as work from various eras of the artists career were on show. From his pop art roots and Japanese influence to the more gritty urban street art inspired concrete series. My work was amongst other artists work supporting the show. They were R.E.V Walsh, Elena Thomas, Kay Bainbridge and Edward Cartwright
New Studio
I also opened up my new studio space and had work up from mainly the past two years. Its nice to take a minute and see what you have actually been doing. Its like a punctuation point and allows a moment of reflection and review.
Photography
I am sure like me everyone has masses of images to go through and sort and descide whether I like them or want them or might be inspired by them?
At the moment a lot of imagery is functional. What times is the pizza shop open? etc.
More images will find their way to this space during the month I am sure. Unless I get too busy to share and that is always a possibility. Paintings come first!
